Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The 911 (except Manual/GT3) offers an optional Maneuvering Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Temerario doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the 911 helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Temerario doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The 911’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Temerario doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the 911 and the Temerario have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The 911 comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Temerario’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

There are almost 5 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Lamborghini dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the 911’s warranty.

The Temerario’s redline is at 10,000 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The 911 has a 7500 to 9000 RPM redline.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the 911 first among premium sporty cars in their 2025 Initial Quality Study. The Temerario isn’t in the top three in its category.

The flat cylinder configuration of the boxer engine in the 911 lowers its center of gravity, enhancing handling stability. The Temerario doesn’t offer a boxer engine configuration.

The 911 (except Base/GT3) offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Temerario doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The 911 Turbo S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Lamborghini doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Temerario.

The 911 has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The 911’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Temerario doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
