For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Porsche Macan Electric are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The VinFast VF 8 doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Both the Macan Electric and VF 8 have Rear Cross Traffic Alert, but the Macan Electric has automatic rear cross-traffic braking (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The VF 8’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

The Macan 4 Electric’s electric motors produces 22 lbs.-ft. more torque (479 vs. 457) than the VF 8 Plus’ standard electric motors. The Macan Electric Turbo’s standard electric motors produces 228 more horsepower (630 vs. 402) and 376 lbs.-ft. more torque (833 vs. 457) than the VF 8 Plus’ standard electric motors.

The Macan Electric’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The VF 8 doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction, the Macan Electric has larger standard tires than the VF 8 (F:235/55R20 & R:285/45R20 vs. 225/55R19). The Macan Electric’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the VF 8 (F:255/45R21 & R:295/40R21 vs. 245/45R20).

The Macan Electric’s standard 285/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the VF 8 Eco’s standard 55 series tires. The Macan Electric’s optional 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the VF 8 Plus’ optional 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Macan Electric has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the VF 8 Eco. The Macan Electric’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the VF 8 Plus.

For superior ride and handling, the Porsche Macan Electric has fully independent front and rear suspensions. An independent suspension allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for gripping the pavement, without compromising ride comfort. The VinFast VF 8 has a rear torsion beam axle, with a semi-independent rear suspension.

The front and rear suspension of the Macan Electric uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the VF 8, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Macan Electric has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The VF 8’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Macan Electric has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Macan Electric’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The VF 8 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For greater off-road capability the Macan Electric has a 1.6 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the VF 8 (7.2 vs. 5.6 inches), allowing the Macan Electric to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Porsche Macan Electric may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 pounds less than the VinFast VF 8.

For excellent aerodynamics, the Macan Electric has standard flush composite headlights. The VF 8 has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

The front grille of the Macan Electric uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The VF 8 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Macan Electric uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The VF 8 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat optional in the VF 8, the Macan Electric offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Macan Electric’s standard Comfort Access allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Passive Entry standard on the VF 8 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Macan Electric to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The VF 8 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The VF 8’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Macan Electric’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Macan Electric to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The VF 8 doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Macan Electric’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The VF 8’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.

The Macan Electric offers an optional 115-volt a/c outlet in the cargo area, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The VF 8 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
