The MINI Cooper SE doesn’t offer pretensioners for its rear seat belts.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Porsche Macan Electric are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The MINI Cooper SE doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Macan Electric has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Cooper SE doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Macan 4 Electric’s standard electric motors produces 221 more horsepower (402 vs. 181) and 280 lbs.-ft. more torque (479 vs. 199) than the Cooper SE’s electric motor. The Macan Electric Turbo’s standard electric motors produces 449 more horsepower (630 vs. 181) and 634 lbs.-ft. more torque (833 vs. 199) than the Cooper SE’s electric motor.

The Macan Electric’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Cooper SE doesn’t offer launch control.

The Macan Electric Turbo’s optional front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Cooper SE are solid, not vented.

For better traction, the Macan Electric has larger standard tires than the Cooper SE (F:235/55R20 & R:285/45R20 vs. 195/55R16). The Macan Electric’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Cooper SE (F:255/45R21 & R:295/40R21 vs. 205/45R17).

The design of the Porsche Macan Electric amounts to more than styling. The Macan Electric has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .25 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Cooper SE (.3) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Macan Electric get better fuel mileage.

The front grille of the Macan Electric uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Cooper SE doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Macan Electric has standard seating for 5 passengers; the Cooper SE can only carry 4.

When three different drivers share the Macan Electric, the optional memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver and front passenger’s seat positions, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The Cooper SE doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Macan Electric’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Cooper SE doesn’t offer an easy entry system.
