For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Porsche Macan Electric are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Jaguar I-Pace doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Porsche Macan Electric has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The I-Pace doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Macan Electric offers an optional Surround View to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The I-Pace only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

The Macan 4 Electric’s standard electric motors produces 8 more horsepower (402 vs. 394) than the I-Pace’s electric motors. The Macan Electric Turbo’s standard electric motors produces 236 more horsepower (630 vs. 394) and 321 lbs.-ft. more torque (833 vs. 512) than the I-Pace’s electric motors.

For better traction and acceleration, the Macan Electric has larger standard rear tires than the I-Pace (285/45R20 vs. 245/50R20). The Macan Electric’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the I-Pace (295/40R21 vs. 255/40R22).

The Macan Electric’s standard 285/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the I-Pace’s standard 50 series tires. The Macan Electric’s optional 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the I-Pace’s optional 40 series tires.

For better maneuverability, the Macan Electric’s turning circle is .8 feet tighter than the I-Pace’s (39.7 feet vs. 40.5 feet).

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Macan Electric offers an optional rear wiper. The I-Pace doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Macan Electric has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The I-Pace doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Macan Electric also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Macan Electric to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The I-Pace doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Macan Electric offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the I-Pace.

The Macan Electric offers an optional 115-volt a/c outlet in the cargo area, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The I-Pace doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.

The Macan Electric’s optional Self Steering ParkAssist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The I-Pace’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park.
